Dante Daniel Bonaduce was born 13 August 1959 in Broomall, Pennsylvania to veteran television writer and producer Joseph Bonaduce. Dante gained fame originally as a child actor in the sitcom series The Partridge Family , where he played the wisecracking second son, Danny Partridge. However, his last film was a made-for-television plane-hijacking film in 1977 that featured Sonny Bono and Farrah Fawcett.
Bonaduce has made several cameo appearances in shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Season 7, episodes 1 and 2), The Drew Carey Show, Monk and a few other shows. But, his strength lies in his ability to carry an on-air personality for radio.
Bonaduce's radio career began in the late 1980s, and by 1996 he hosted his own syndicated talk-show, The Danny Bonaduce Show. He was part of The Adam Carolla Show in 2007 and in 2008 he was provided with a daily one-hour solo spot known as Broadcasting Bonaduce , which was broadcast locally in California on the Los Angeles-based KLSX radio station.
His spot was removed in February 2009, however, and since November 2008 Bonaduce has been hosting the morning drive spot on WYSP in Philadelphia.
Bonaduce also has appeared several times on Fox News, where he is known for making inflamatory remarks against liberals. He also is known for televised stunts such as gulping down a bottle of vodka and then racing across a highway on a scooter. Bonaduce also has a black belt in Tang Soo Do and boxes other celebrities in matches. He usually wins.
In 2002, Bonaduce released his autobiography, Random Acts of Badness. It was a New York Times bestseller and has been touted as a "well-written comedic tragedy." Bonaduce has been married twice and recently became engaged to Amy Railsback, who is twenty-three years his junior and who manages Bonaduce's career full time. He presented her with a sterling silver skull and crossbones ring that has diamond and "rubies in the eyeball." |
