The story of Julius Caesar is one that is quite unusual given the early portrayals of his life. Julius Caesar was a leader and he was a dictator. However, when he died, he should’ve seen the assassination coming. Mark Antony tried to warn him and the warning signs were there, still Caesar fell victim to the very sword he typically lived by.

Julius Caesar was born in 100 B.C. or around that particular time. His exact birthdate has been hard to determine. He was born into what was considered a more prominent family of that time and his family tree supposedly led back to some with ancient prominent standings.

Caesar would join the army and he would begin his climb to power. He would observe political tension, much of it, he caused. He was never favored by the senate and often requested the more absurd. For example, he wanted to claim the title of king and the senate didn’t want that to happen.

Still, Julius Caesar did own power. He was able to become the appointed dictator and remain the dictator for nine consecutive one-year terms. He was called "Dictator for Life" later by some while others adorned him with the sentiment of "Father of the Fatherland."

He would experience a bloody assassination at the end of his life. Mark Antony would try to intervene when he learned about it but he wouldn’t be able to stop it once the wheels were set in motion.

His assassination took place before a group of senators. In the end, over sixty men were involved in his demise. He was stabbed twenty-three times and the reign of Julius Caesar was put to rest.
