He was one of the most loved football players to ever run out on any professional football field. Fans loved to chant for him. He was known as "The Juice" and then he was known as guilty before ever presumed innocent. When the "glove didn't fit" and an acquittal came down, Orenthal Simpson regained his freedom but O.J. Simpson couldn't stay out of trouble and in 2007, he made the news again.

Born in California in 1947, Orenthal (O.J.) Simpson would grow up as an athlete. He went on to earn a University of Southern California scholarship and then became a Heisman Trophy candidate in 1967 before claiming it in 1968.

Simpson went on to live out a dream. He became a professional football player and played in the NFL. To watch O.J. on the field was often a privilege but when he retired, something changed. Something drastic happened and the world was introduced to another Orenthal Simpson and it wasn't a pleasant change of face.

O.J. Simpson's family life with both of his former wives was anything but a fairy tale. He married Marguerite L. Whitley and they had three children. They lost one daughter in a drowning before she turned two years old and soon, his marriage unraveled. Marguerite and O.J. divorced. In 1985, O.J. married Nicole Brown and they had two children. There are documented records to support reports of an abusive marriage.

O.J. and Nicole divorced in 1992. Orenthal Simpson would be saved from a guilty verdict but he would later be found libel in her death and the death of her friend, Ron Goldman. He would walk away a free man but his reputation and the greatness he found as a NFL football star would soon be forgotten and forever tarnished.

In 2007, Orenthal (O.J.) Simpson was brought up on charges once again. This time, he was charged with assault and criminal intent with robbery and other charges brought up against him. The world would stand by and wait to hear the sentence handed down from a Las Vegas judge. Many would hope for a little retribution for the previous crimes that he was once accused of but never convicted. Some suspect jail time, at least this time, is a possibility.
